Frequently Asked Questions
Is team distribution truly fair?
Yes! Fisher-Yates shuffle with cryptographic security. Round-robin assignment keeps team sizes within 1 person of each other. Splitting 11 people into 3 teams gives 4-4-3.
What's the difference between team count and team size mode?
"By team count" lets you choose how many teams (e.g. 3 teams). "By team size" lets you choose how many people per team (e.g. teams of 4). The system calculates the required number of teams automatically.
How many people can I add?
No technical limit. Add hundreds of names. Everything runs in your browser without affecting performance.
Can I use custom team names?
Yes! Enter one name per line in "Team Names": Red Team, Blue Team, Green Team... If left blank, defaults to Team 1, Team 2...
How do I share the results?
Use the copy button next to each team for one team, or "Copy All" for all teams. Paste into a WhatsApp group or classroom board.
What if I don't like the distribution?
Click "Reshuffle". A new random distribution is created with the same names. Repeat until you're happy.
Are names saved?
No. Team distribution runs entirely in your browser. Participant names and team results are never sent to external servers.
